As you are facing this HUGE decision, we want to reassure you that if you choose us as the family for your baby to grow in, that we hope that you will be a part of our lives and your babies life. Our dream is one of family, security and love. We have dreamed of having our own family for many years and have always imagined it happening through adoption from the very beginning of our relationship.
We live a life of adventure. Living in Utah, there is so much to do outdoors all year! Blake is a paragliding pilot and enjoys flying all year round. He is an avid kiteboarder and will often travel to Colorado, Nevada and Texas to meet up with friends to kite on land, snow or water. In the winter, we love ice fishing, snow kiting and snowboarding or traveling somewhere warm to get away from the cold, like Hawaii, Mexico or Caribbean to go snorkeling, Stand-up Paddle boarding in the ocean and paragliding the mountains. We have a camper that has a set of bunk beds and a queen sized bed. In the summertime, we love taking it for the weekends to a local lake near our home to just relax and go fishing, standup paddle boarding and get away for a few days. We love going to Lake Powell for camping and boating. These are things that we can't wait to do together as a family! Your baby will travel the world with us to meet all of our many friends who are our chosen family. We have friends in Japan, Canada, New Zealand, the U.K., Columbia, Mexico and Germany as well as ALL over the United States. All of our friends are super supportive of our decision to adopt and excited to include your baby into our HUGE family.
We are very family oriented and close to both of our extended families. We usually spend Thanksgiving or Christmas with either of our families in Colorado or in Texas. Both of our Moms love decorating for Christmas and always put up a beautiful tree. Blake's Mom loves cooking and entertaining. She takes great pride in setting a table and entertaining friends and family with delicious food and drinks. Olivia's mom has ornaments that she made herself and some ornaments that have been passed down through the family for over 100 years. Olivia dreams of carrying on the family tradition of baking cookies with her child just like she did with her mom every Christmas Eve. We can't wait to start new family traditions. Next door to our home we have friends with two kids that are 9 and 11 years old. Every Christmas Eve, their Mom has us play "Elf" and leave a gift on the front porch, ring the door bell and run so they don't see us. They believe Santa's Elf is leaving them a gift. We have done this for four years now and think it would be so fun to have them do something like that for our child too! We are a BIG family in our neighborhood!
