Our Story

In Oahu, Hawaii right before dinner
We met ten years ago in Denver, Colorado where we fell in love. From the very first day that we met, we were inseparable. Our adventure together began in Colorado, where we started a business after one year of being together. We own a free to play poker business in Colorado where we offer Texas Hold'em tournaments in bars and restaurants. Our business is running well and going on ten years of service now. We are both entrepreneurs and wanted to do something together that we could be proud of.  Blake is a paragliding instructor and tandem pilot throughout the summertime.  A few times a year, he takes on creative jobs for flying large kites to promote movies and commercials, and Olivia gets to travel with him on occasion. In 2011, he made a large snowflake kite and worked on production for a Starbucks Christmas Commercial. In 2014, he helped in the production of a kite in the shape of Toothless and traveled around the USA promoting for the movie "How to Train Your Dragon 2". This was an exciting project to be a part of! Olivia is a Realtor for her job and for fun she is a photographer, taking pictures for families. We do anything we can to work from home and be able to have the freedom we need to travel and enjoy life to the fullest.

Our journey began in Colorado but we have since planted roots in Utah. Five years ago, we moved to Utah. We had been visiting this area since 2009 because Blake had learned how to paraglide. He was traveling back and forth between Colorado and Utah to fly here.
Our home
I suggested that we move here so he could be close to epic flying and I could be close to him. In 2012 we made the plunge and moved. It has been one of the most rewarding places to live. We quickly became part of the neighborhood community by becoming friends with almost all of our neighbors. Our favorite part of living in this community is all the families with children.  Every evening there are families walking through the neighborhood pushing strollers or teaching their kids to ride bicycles.  Most of our neighbors are paragliding pilots so there is plenty of commonality here. We all take care of one another and have become one big family in our neighborhood. In 2013, we bought our dream home and planted our roots. After several months in our new home, our neighbor kids would come over just to hang out with us... because we are just that cool! We started to feel that we were ready to start our own family.

Children, and adoption in particular, have been on our hearts for many years. We always envisioned being adoptive parents as playing a huge role in our lives. In addition, like many adoptive parents, we have been through a struggle of infertility. However, adoption is not our "Plan-B". Instead, after two years of tests and doctor visits, we're simply making it our top priority now rather than later. We are so excited to start this journey and add to our family.
